    Default Sealing the planes

I dont know if this is the right place (perhaps "Hobby room" fits better, but it is about the ww1 models).

Has anyone experience with sealing the models like with the tabletop varnish sprays or paints?

    Or is it not necessary.

One Problem that came into my mind is that the Nexus models have rotating pieces (wheels, Propeller).

Whenever I paint a plane, when finished I usually apply a clear gloss spray and then when dry a clear flat spray. I want to protect the paint from wear, especially on edges that will see a bit of handling. Nexus and ARES bought planes I don't do this to.

And why not the Nexus/Ares planes?

I've never had a problem with wear on of their finishes.

With the planes from the box I have not had any problems either. Now, I have had issues with decals not sticking properly, which is another issue.

When I do seal one for repainting or something, I usually go over it with a brush coat of Vallejo Matte Varnish. Nice thick layer. A lot of people just use flat clear coats from spray cans. Those work nice as well.

Yeah, I'm a spray a flat clear coat before repainting kind of guy.

I've not had a problem with decals sticking but do have a few badly placed or torn decals on their planes.
