Thanks again to Mike for a fun filled evening of flying with the boys. Thanks for 6+ months of helping us get through the Covid isolation, it's been a great ride and I really look forward to more in the new year.
Last night was, as always, a great time. Didn't get a boom card and did get some shots in. Mike was talking to Nate, who joined in to see how things work, and said we have been doing this for 6 months. I guess we are having a good time because I didn't think it was that long. As always thanks to Mike and Shawn for getting us all together for this social gathering with social distencing.

It was good to see the gang after a two week break. First shot I took at Thomas was a boom card for him and I know how that feels. Looks like we may be relooking at a BOOM card being drawn so fast. Look forward to next weeks game.

One variant I have considered is to draw 3 new damage cards after drawing a Boom, rather than the other accepted alternate of counting 1/2 damage.
A second Boom would take you down, just like two wounds. ( or force another 3 card draw?)

Another great time, even with the frustrating connection problems.
Oh, Terry: one of the reasons it was so bloody is Mike removes the zeros (or almost all the zeros), and the explosions from the damage decks. Everything else stays. With 8 or 9 planes on the table, all going for each other, this rules modification is really necessary.
The zeros and explosion damage cards were all removed from the first game and only 1 used in the second game. They were removed as these were only 3 turn games. With only 3 turn games it would have been extremely lucky to down a plane. Even the way we played only 2 planes were shot down outright. 3 went down because of fires and 2 in a collision! It was a very messy battle!

Even though I took a BOOM had a good game. We did destroy guns and damaged a few. Thomas took out the balloon so that is out of the way.

Tough to figure this one out. Every week we seem to have a different agent infiltrating HQ. Very poor vetting and security up there.
