Thread: Effy Ate

    Default Effy Ate

A couple of Raf FE8's and A Fokker DII,
The Effy Ates are both Kampflieger models, No 2 is a Shapeways model, with a decal skin that i did for a flying model.
No 4 (grey fuselage/nacelle) is a paper model, with my decal skin on the top wing upper surface

The Fokker DII sorted off as a conversion from a Zio Prudensio Fokker EIV, but ended up as a redraw from scratch.
I have since seen some far more accurate paper models of this Kite, so I'm going to draw up a Fokker DIII, which nobody
    has attempted so far.
The DIII featured a twin row fourteen cylinder rotary engine, and Boelke added seven to his score in one.
As I work as a postie, i may not have time to build the DIII for a while, but the drawings came out better (and more accurate)
than the DII in the pictures...

    True that, Phillip.
Might be one reason for my interest in my avatar
And the fact I have a few shapeways made Saab 21s waiting to be painted up.

A shame none of the USAAC pushers flew enough to give us reliable flight data. Of course, they didn't fly reliably at all

i always though the saabs looked cool. i seem to recall seeing a pic of some of them escorting some us bombers to an airfield to be interned.
yeah, the american ones were pretty much a bust due to stability issues. the only one i remember is the "ascender" whos unique name apparently was derived from its nickname "ass-end-er" so dubbed by the people working on the project because of its arrangement. nice to see some humor slip through the production process lol.

I think so, not many are around who even know the dark arts of mini conjuring from paper . . .
