This will be a nice card to have. I'll be making a few of these soon and I know of at least one other who will too, and probably beat me to it!

Here's some stats:
Vought OS2U Kingfisher
Deck: Q(Z)**: no extreme side slips (make it a set of regular SSs), or reversal.
Land plane version: O(Z)** no 60 degree turns or extreme side slips (make it a set of regular SSs);
Damage: 13. Guns: A/A A/A. Ceiling: (OS2U-1) 7, (OS2U-3) 6. Climb: 8
Note: Any maneuver deck with the modifier (Z) uses Zoe Brain’s system of moving just the length of the arrow on the card. These are for very slow planes, and may be further modified.

Nice painting, Tony!
Great card, Mike!
For some reason, Karl, your link to the thread on slow movement gives a Not Found Error on my computer. I think this one goes to the right place.

Thanks Mike and Karl for the new card. Always great being able to add new planes to the game.
Vought Kingfisher in Dutch Marine Luchtvaart Dienst (MLD) = Dutch Naval Air Service
Vought Kingfisher in Dutch MLD (Naval Air Service) ??
Uhmm, yes, sort of ...
24 were ordered in 1941/1942, build and ready for delivery to Java to bolster the Dutch defences in Netherlands East Indies as (onboard) recon- and spotter plane for the cruisers of the fleet, namely Hr.Ms. De Ruyter, Hr.Ms.Java and Hr.Ms. Tromp. They already had been given Dutch numbers from V-1 to V-24. All painted up in Dutch colors and markings they travelled from New York to the Dutch East Indies, crated with spare engines and other spares ... bound for Surabaja Naval Station on East Java.
Alas their arrival was too late, the Dutch East Indies had already fallen to the Japanese
Becoming aware of that fact the three ship convoy set course to Australia and unloaded the crated 24 Kingfishers there. They were handed over to the RAAF.
So ... there were Kingfishers in Dutch MLD livery, altough not used by the Dutch in anger ...
Anyway this is what they looked like ...
Model by Trumpeter, decals from the scrap box, base locally sourced.
Anybody willing to make a card for this plane, which would have been based at Surabaja Naval Station, East Java.
Hope you like it.
cheers,
Guus

Looks great Guus!!

Great plane Guus. To bad they weren't delivered a bit earlier so they could have been used by the MLD.
Morokrembangan Seaplane Base was co-located just west of the Soerabaja Naval Base. Perhaps the unit name should be: 'Marine Vliegkamp Morokrembangan' ?
