Spreading the word

Greetings

As I was playing a couple of WGF games solo yesterday I was recounting the benefits of the game to a couple of friends by email last night. One has some WGF planes but hasn’t used them recently and the other hasn’t played it at all.

I have undertaken to put on a game for the latter - and others we play TTRPGs/Wargames with from time to time - when the lockdown has come to an end.

I have convinced my other friend to dig out his planes and try some solo games on one end of his dining table (his daughter is using the other end for her home office).

I am toying with trying to do a game over Skype - but think it would require each player to have their own manoeuvre deck and maybe damage deck.

Great to hear you are pushing the game even in these trying times.
Have a word with Old Guy and Neil. They both have experience of playing Skype Wings games.

Well done on encouraging your friends to play Wings of Glory, Edward.

If you wanted to try a Skype game, your friends could see what is available in each manoeuvre deck by looking at what are called the 'MATES' cards. As gamesmaster you could control the damage decks and tell them the result of each set of shots.

Scan manoeuvre decks required & send them to the chaps Edward - they can message you their chosen moves and you can play out the game for them over Skype as they watch. Gotta be worth a try.
