Nice footage, well worth a watch - shots of Fokker D.VIII; D.VII; DVI & F.1, some well known faces, didn't see anything new as most have appeared in clips before.
Here is a similar narrated version; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APMJ_D26D5c

Wow, really nice. One of my favorite aces. Really nice share!!! Thanks!!!
Hey Frank, it's new to me. Thanks for bringing it up.
Cheers for the link Dave
Great find. Have never seen anything like that before.
I watched both versions at the same time. The narrated version is clipped and you can't see everything. So I'd listen to the narrated while watching the silent one. Learned several things I did not know.
Thank you gents.
I got really excited when I saw the footage on the Fokker D VI. I’ve only see pictures before. I never seen footage of Geswader Richtofen flying D VIIs. Another thing is von Richtofen’s straps. Looking at the pictures I thought he was using his hat’s chin strap. The film shows the straps were holding an eyepatch like device over his head wound. The film edited the removal of the patch before putting his flight helmet on. Finally, I never saw so much footage of Fokker and Goering. I thought it was a great find and I just had to share it.
Thank you for the reputation points!
