    Developed in the 1950's, still in use when I was in the USSR in the 1970's and used through the 1990's. Please see story:

    I have been to the Cryptologic museum and don't remember seeing this machine. I have to get back when it opens again and check out if they have one. Thanks for posting.

    That's quite a bit of kit - not too dissimilar in look to ours from the 50's - Singlet
