Hey everyone,
I hope all of you and your families are doing well during these times. My family has been fighting some common colds, but thankfully nothing covid related.
One of the things that this virus is effecting is my son, Kiefer's birthday (April 20th). Our state is on lock down and will be until after his 10th birthday. As such he can't have any type of party or even his best friend over to stay the night. My wife and I were trying to think of a way to help make his birthday a little more special and we came up with the idea of asking our friends if they would mind sending a birthday card or note to him. We think it make the day a lot more special for him if he got a lot of cards when he was not expecting them.
Kiefer really loves history and is an avid reader (I'm very proud to say that he reads at a high school level while in just the 4th grade ), so if anyone has some old history or war books laying around he would really enjoy them. If you are so inclined to join this little effort, you can send them to the address below.
I would be happy to give some AA store credit to offset any expenses you incur for anything that you might send, be it just a simple note or a small gift.
I think this is something we could due for other member's kids if they are also going to miss out on birthday parties due to the virus.
Thanks and fly safe everyone,
Keith
