I noticed that an AIM plane that I painted a while ago is warped. Has anyone ever tried the hot water method to straighten a model out after it was painted?
I’m wondering how the paint will hold up?
Thanks!

How bad is the warp? I have some old brittle resin models that got distorted in transit and they responded to very hot water. But they were not painted. I would guess the type of paint and thickness would matter as well.
Steam from a kettle caused acryllic paint to seperate in sheets from the enamel undercoat.
Water from a hot tap did not, and was adequate.
Ok, I’ll try the hot tap water and see how it goes. Thanks!
Hot water usaully works for me
