I will say the noise in a real B-17 is probably alot louder. BobP can tell us.
And CappyTom from a B-25 perspective.

Interesting. I'll have to try it when the wife's away!

Sleeping on a ship underway was always a challenge. The first week out of port sleep was difficult until the noise and motion became soothing. Then the reverse when I got home and it was too quite!

I cannot see that sending me to sleep but thank you for telling us about it, Dan. It could be used as a background sound effect for a game.

I should try this type of white noise on my doughter. It is necessary to start with education soon...

Some of the other options flagged up will work for me - the "Rain on a tin roof" one in particular!

    Thanks for posting.

After landing. It was much easier for her to move around since she is much shorter then I am.

I agree, I just used regular foam ear plugs and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. And that sound... so sweet! Nowhere near as loud as flying in a C-130 or a C-17 today. Now I bet all the .50 cals going off was an entirely different matter.

Now that background sound effect is a good idea! I will try it when we have our next Tuesday night get together games. (Assuming this Corona Virus isolation thing ever ends!)
