When executing a dive or Overdive, this pilot may take (or keep) as many climb counters as he wants, up to the maximum climb of his airplane minus one.


I want to equip the crew of a Handley Page O/400 with this crew ability. The bomber has a climb rate of 7.

So if I understand it right: If the bomber makes a dive maneuver from level 5 to level 4, he can choose to end the dive on level 4 with 6 (or less) climb counters, right?

Correct - though you'd think every pilot would have this ability - it could make landing a tad difficult otherwise !
