Default Wanna sit in an Albatros and go 'dagga dagga dagga' ?

The RAF Museum in London is holding an event on the evening of 26th March. It consists of a talk on the creation of the RAF, a chance to handle various items of equipment and....fanfare... a chance to sit in their Albatros reproduction. I have been reliably informed (ahem) that I shall NOT be taking my flying helmet and goggles with me

Sad note, the last time I was at the museum was to meet Harry (Matt)

You should totally try and sit in the albatross... you have to take helmet and goggles

    Oh, yes!

Less than 10 miles from my house, and on an evening when I'm not working!

Details say the cockpit can be viewed, but not touched or sat in - just as well; even if I ever managed to fit in, I'd never be able to get back out!

Hmm...... before they tarted up (sorry, I mean upgraded) the WW1 Hangar the Albatros was sitting there without barriers around it, and you could fondle it to your hearts content. Now they want to charge a fiver to do this?

Sad memory but you have to remember the good time. He is still here with us.

Also met Matt at Hendon on that day. It was a great day out. I have very fond memories of the day.
