Thread: Back from the Sick list.

Smile Back from the Sick list.

After almost 15 months, i am beginning to feel better and only 1% bionic. It started with the repair of a umbilical hernia which went well. The anesthesia Impacted my bladder after testing they informed me my bladder was dead. The nerve was dead requiring a catheter four times a day. This caused UTi`s that kept me on antibiotics. Here is the bionic part. My Dr. sent me to a specialist they tested a enter stym device on me, a pace maker for the bladder. They installed that on December 11th last year. It worked and on December 26th they were going to install a 7 year battery. Instead they found infection and pulled thy the unit. Last week they installed a new one battery included. The the device is working and the incisions are healing. After over a year of feeling lousy and missing all my usual gaming events. I did make it to the Williamsburg Muster last weekend. Our group ran some games that conflicted with all air games. Thank you Stuart for running your WW1 games!

Sounds like you've been through the wringer. Was wondering where you had disappeared to. Hope that is all behind you and you can get back to a normal life again.

Thank you one and all. I have not pulled a damage card or chit in over a year. I have been keeping my feet on the ground painting WW2 10mm and playing ACW, AWI and Napoleonic's in 10mm. Our group also painted up 10mm Mexican - American War troops to honor a late member.

That sounded like a very harrowing 12 months.

Thank you! If you knew where the wires go to on this device, you would be shocked also. I should report them to the Hague!

    I am astounded!

Do you mean to tell me that in this day and age of high technology you have not gone wireless?

    Wow!

I can only hope that you are on the road to a 100% recovery, and that the 'new normal' is close, or exactly like, what you were before the hernia. All the positive vibes I can send are on their way to you.

Nice to hear you are back in the game, too!
