Very interesting Brian.
Hanson's Auction rooms is only a few miles from where I live.
Bit out of my price bracket though I'm afraid.

What was "Wound stripe"? Something special on the uniform for being injured in battle?
Those were some good finds. I hope that they find a good home in a museum.
The British Army began awarding a brass "Wound Stripe" in 1916, with approval by King George V. The badge was worn vertically on the left forearm and inset between the Good Conduct stripes

The Silver War Badge was issued in the United Kingdom and the British Empire to service personnel who had been honourably discharged due to wounds or sickness from military service in World War I.

"He is wise who watches"
Certainly a great find.
I saw it first on a facebook post.
It really deserves to be in a museum.
