Time for bed said Zebedee, otherwise Steve (Guntruck) might get scared again. He might agree I need my beauty sleep.

See you on the Dark Side......
Just remember folks there is no rush to complete any missions.
You fly them at your leisure.
You may fly as many or as few as you like.
I would like to use this campaign as a vehicle to promote the WW2 side of Wings and not as a hard and fast competition style campaign.
Please if you design a scenario not from the original list could you do the following:
1. Put it into 1 of the 5 distinct phases, it does not have to be date defined just within the dates for that specific phase.
2. Publish the scenario in the scenario thread. I will then move it into 1 of the 5 phase threads for players to access.
Cheers, Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
I've started transfering the scenarios already done into the relevant sticky. They are not cast in stone scenarios, they can be played as they are or amended to suit or as a basis for whatever you fly.
Remember, enjoy, have fun, fly them at your leisure.

See you on the Dark Side......
Managed to pull your squadrons off a sheet I'd copied and kept on the computer Paul
See you on the Dark Side......
Interested - but have to check if Christian would play with me...
Cantt promise 100% epic AARs. Thinking about short ones (4-5 pictures & the result of course)
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Sven, the game is whatever you can do in the time you have to do it. There are no time constraints. Play when you can for as long as you can. Writing up an AAR can be as short as a combat report. With a couple of 'fun camera' pictures of the action. Or a long winded 'story' linking in various aspects of your campaign.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Next steps, for those I haven't got squadron details for please send me the following:
1. Nation.
2. Aircraft type. Fighters or 2 seaters used in the Battle of Britain only. (If flying 2-seaters reduce pilots to 6 with 6 observers)
3. 12 pilots, of which:
1 Ace with any Ace ability +evasion
3 Veterans
6 Standard pilots
2 Rookies with Rookie disadvantage
Any 3 pilots to have evasion skill.

Just awaiting:
Marechallanes & Lindho to confirm they are playing and F.O. Kyte and Teaticket to confirm their orbats please?
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
I have transferred over 10, I think, scenarios form the old Fire in the Skies ETO-BoB campaign.
Players do not have to play these, can design their own but keep them true to the distinct phases of the BoB as you can. If you do publish an AAR that is your own, please publish a BRF first and I will transfer it into the relevant section for other players to fly.
This is as much your campaign as it is any of the other players playing it.
11 days to go until the official launch of the campaign. Good luck and have fun.

"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
I think I've got everything done.
1. Please check you have access to the spreadsheet.
2. Please check the orbat derails are correct.
3. Play when you can and post an AAR.
4. If you want to design your own BRF for a scenario, give it an appropriate title and what section of the Bob it falls into, ie which phase.
5. Have fun.
I will be posting a simplified scenario creation section taken from Blackronins original OTT campaign which could be used in any of the phases.

See you on the Dark Side......
Hello all, 2 days until the Bob 2020 campaign opens.
We now have 9 players running 12 Squadrons.
Enjoy, have fun and remember it's not a competition.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Hi Neil.
I am afraid you will get attatchments at the bottom of all my posts. I have just given up trying to sort this out.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
I'm getting it too. No worries.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
I was hoping my new computer with Windows ten would have sorted it but no such luck I'm afraid.
Rob.

Welcome Marek. We need all the pilots we can get to ward off the Hun.
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Of course Marek, 301 SQN it is.
Just need your Squadron orbat as per rules.
1 Ace with sniper and evasion skills
3 Veterans
6 Standard
2 Rookies with Rookie skill
Any 3 of you pilots, not the ace, may also have the evasion skill.
Also need your email address, please PM me with that so I can give you access to the spreadsheet.
Neil

See you on the Dark Side......
Wrote first AAR. Have a question: Is "Butchers Tally" format purposed for "machine" reading? I have added further info "/ + 3 XP, Hurricane 7 HP" , is it OK?
Disregard if human reads and process it ..
Hopefully tomorrow I will be flying my first mission over France as we regroup near Dunkirk.
I will just have to live with the problem of having an entailment of attatchments to each AAR.
If you chaps can put up with it I guess so can I.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
10 players signed up, 13 squadrons ready for the off.
Clear skies.
Watch your six.
Have fun.
Neil
PS: Please add more BRF to the list. Just PM following the format of previously published BRF's so we can extend the list. I can't write them all.
See you on the Dark Side......
The chaps preparations are underway for tomorrow's sortie.
Who will draw the short straw?
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Hopefully that's the last glitch about access to spreadsheet sorted.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Hi Neil.
I shuffled all those cards and decided from the result who drew the short straw from the Hurricane pilots.
Flew the mission and am starting the writeup.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Great news 2nd AAR in bag me thinks.
I'll be updating the spreadsheet once a week, which night still to be decided. Probably a Sunday.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Gentlemen, I got so motivated that I had sent my czechoslovaks to fight again . Thanks Neil.
(I wanted to test scenario I am preparing for our Early War campaign. Unescorted Do-17 being attacked by Hurricanes and for further evolvement I would like to have 1 Do-17 downed and others with some damage as a probable result for further evolvment. Do not know whether it should be 2 Hurricanes vs 4 Do-17 or 3 vs 3 as setup. So I have tried 2 vs 2 initially as having only 2 Do-17 in my collection )
And I am sorry with the sheet troubles reporting. I can see (view) it for couple days. I thought you want us to edit it as well
First results are now posted on the spreadsheet. Could players please indicate what scenario they are playing please.
Marek you indicated D-2 for your first but the kanalkampf scenario with the Dorniers is scenario 4 (as close as I can fit it). If you are going to play scenario D-1, 1, 2 and 3 you cannot use the pilots from your 2nd AAR (Scenario 4) for D-1,1,2, or 3.
If you want the Dornier scenario to be D-1 could you indicate this please. The scenarios copied across from the original campaign follow specific dates and specific parts of the BoB campaign.
See you on the Dark Side......
Neil
I am trying to get my head around the first phase and have a couple of questions:
(Now that I understand the first couple in the May to 16 July are "D Minus 2" and "D Minus 1" - coffee helps )
1) Since most (if not all) of us are unlikely to have the Blackburn Skua, I assume we are to use our Spitfires or Hurricanes?Scenario D-1: First Offensive Air Operations
800 and 803 squadrons were stationed at RNAS Hatston with multi-role Blackburn Skua fighter/dive-bomber aircraft.
Allied Forces: Place the ship target in the centre of the mat. (see attached pic).
2) I do not see the referenced pic.
Hi Pete, that bit is more of the historical pre amble than aircraft to be used.
Use whatever aircraft you have, unfortunately the original picture has been lost. Just place a suitable ship target card in the middle of the playing area and go from there.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Rather than leap around on the spreadsheet, the following will happen.
Your individual scenarios unless specifically titled from the ones published will simply follow one after the other in numerical order. ie Your first scenario will be 1, 2nd 2 etc. Rather than me just plonking them where I think they should fall on the chart.
This is your individual campaign, not mine. Makes book keeping easier. All I would ask is you number your scenarios if your not following the scenario numbering of those published. In that way you can fly daily missions, weekly missions, stick to just one part of the BoB Historical campaign bits. For example you may just wish to fly only during the period 13 August – 6 September: Adlerangriff ("Eagle Attack"), have your squadron fly 24 missions, 1 per day, or more than 1 per day. Rather than try and cover the whole BoB period.
Choice is yours.
As always have fun.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
I'm thunking then of adding in a special rule, which you may use or ignore, for pilots flying multiple missions.
1. For each consecutive mission flown by a single pilot add 1 exhaustion point.
2. Start of each new mission role 2d6.
3. As long as the roll is greater than the exhaustion level then there is no effect on the pilots abilities.
4. If the roll is greater than the current exhaustion level for every mission flown then:
1st mission = When firing draw 1 or 2 extra counters when firing and use the lowest totals for causing damage
2nd mission = As above plus no difficult maneuvers
3rd mission = As above plus draw an additional A damage counter when this pilot takes any damage
4th mission = As above but roll for landing with -2 to roll
5th mission = As 1st to 3rd plus any special damage and the pilot bails out
