Nice stuff, Ken.
...and now for something different for me - re-painted Ares models (Costes / Astor Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter). Done a little bit hypothetically but a little bit based on photos. The CDL is notionally for FSL Douglas Alexander Hardy Nelles and the PC10 top surface / CDL sides is based on well known one for FSL Ronald Francis Redpath / AM1 AJ Dell except that one has PC10 sides to the fuselage. I wanted a half PC10 / half CDL so it would be different to the Ares Collishaw / Porstmouth with PC10 top and sides.
These are for the up-coming extended OTT DYM campaign.
Note: I haven't yet decided if I will put the '17' and serial number '9739' on the 'fantasy' Redpath / Dell.
Now that the site is back up I have to take some photos to post for Feb. Great paint jobs guys.
Pretty work here, chaps! Fantasy and Sopwiths and Flying Boats, oh my! Must get some stuff of my own up soon to show I have been doing something...
All the best,
Matt
Lot of good looking kites out there. good job guys.
Nice job, guys.
I need to get some Hansa-Brandenburgs one of these days.
I really like your Strutters, Paul
Some lovely paint jobs there chaps - look forward to seeing those Sopwith's over the trenches Paul

I am waiting on some decals to finish off a couple more Jasta 7 Fokker D.VII's. I have recently added two more the Jasta this weekend. Once they are all complete I should have ten scouts ready to fly over no mans land.
Just finished a bunch of Aliens for our club game at Salute in London later this year (there are more, but I ran out of bases ).
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
That is some alien army. Hope the troops can handle them.
Mark for some reason when I got the first seaplanes I thing they are pretty neat so I had to get a few more. Next order to Shapeways will have a few others. Something different.
Nice job,bet that kept you out of mischief for a while Steve.
Lordy, Steve! That is a lot of xenomorphs I look forward to seeing their opponents - are you doing an SPC and dropship for the good guys, too?
All the best,
Matt
Nice Strutters and Brandenburgs!
Looking forward to seeing those, too, Steve! Are you and the club doing 3D scenery as well - I assume you are doing rooms and corridors for the colony? It will be an epic game, to be sure, and is sure to draw attention from passers-by...
All the best,
Matt
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Hope you post photos of this epic battle.
Sounds good. Have my registration in for COLD WARS. Mike's game looks like a big one like the one at FALL IN. Told him any planes needed let me know and I will see what I have to help.
Kevin has some new decals for the 24th Aero and he made some for the Polish Esq (my request). They flew Albatros DIII's in the war with the Soviets in 1920.
That's what I did this month:
Repaint contest for Wings of Prague 2020.
...and a Falco & two Aviatiks.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
So how many books are in your personal library?
Amazing detail on those rebs and the Brit/French
Not so sure about that Steve....Camo seems to be doing a outstanding job....don't see a thing.
I'm liking your gun-show find, Ken - I had a copy of that once upon a time...I shall have to see if I can find another. And your Civil War and French and Indian War figures are lovely, too.
Bob, your Samsons look rather spiffing, too - a useful plane to have in one's collection
All the best,
Matt
Love the Reb you did. Reminds me of my reenacting days.
Nothing special on thse planes Matt just something different. Kevin did some decals I asked about so now have to look into something else different to get and paint.
I managed to find someone to 3D print a copy of Wayne's lovely HMS Thunder Child - it scales out to about 1/1200 scale (using the size of HMS Canopus as a baseline). I went to my local model shop and picked up a couple of 1/700 ships to cannibalize as I add detail to the model.
The CD of Jeff Wayne's take on the novel (which I owned in vinyl years ago) had been in my Amazon basket for a while, and I came across the novel while on Amazon (the site may have suggested it to me...) Both arrived yesterday
I look forward to adding it to my queue of projects.
All the best,
Matt
I have the same album and then bought it on CD. Haven't seen that book before but I do have a series about the Great Martian War which is based on the AQMF game.
Nice find Matt. It is high time my Thunder Child saw some action.

Finished two Valom Nieuport 11s - Serial 3983 (Flight Commander Kenneth Stevens Savory in 'Blue Bird' and Serial 3982 (Flight Sub-Lieutenant William Vazie Simons) of 2 Wing Royal Naval Air Service.
Despite the French insignia, 'Blue Bird' is British. The roundels on the bottom wing are British.
Close up the Nieuports and a picture of them bouncing two Fokker E.III
Also, I've added serial / plane numbers to the Sopwith Strutters. Here are the re-paints with the Ares RNAS Sopwith. They will form the 2-seater flight for my squadron in the OTT campaign. Adding the serial number to the Redpath-ish repaint definitely makes it fantasy as the real one should have PC10 on the sides. I just wanted something different to the Collishaw one.
Here's the squadron to day - 2 scouts and 3 2-seaters. Plans are to add 4 more Nieuport scouts and, for long distance escort missions, 2 Sopwith Strutter one-seaters.

Uh, wow. That is a lot of painting and so skillful.
Great Naps! I Love Les Marins. I had done some a couple of decades ago with Minifigs. Hope to upgrade these with better figures. Are these AB figures?
The group in the front are AB while the ones in the back are Miniature Figurines. A small story of why I ended up with the two sets. The uniform for les Marins are my favourite Napoleonic uniform. I'm planning to re-fight the battle of Bailen and you can't do that without les Marins so I looked and looked and only Minifigs had the figures. So, I break down and get them. A couple of weeks later AB figures comes out with les Marins. Given the quality of AB figs and favourite uniform I had to get the AB figures. So, I ended up with two sets and being cheap I painted up both. The post-hoc rationale is that the second support group can be in reserve and will deceive your opponent into thinking they're far away.
All the command base figures, except the light infantry cornet (red plume with yellow tip), are AB figures. The cornet is Essex - I think.
