Welp, Clipper said he was going to be busy so I started it for em.

First glad the site is back up, thanks to all who did that, and here we go...

Hordes army I did for a regular.

Will have some Confeds from the ACW and some French and Indian wars stuff up in a day or two.

    Nice stuff, Ken.

...and now for something different for me - re-painted Ares models (Costes / Astor Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter). Done a little bit hypothetically but a little bit based on photos. The CDL is notionally for FSL Douglas Alexander Hardy Nelles and the PC10 top surface / CDL sides is based on well known one for FSL Ronald Francis Redpath / AM1 AJ Dell except that one has PC10 sides to the fuselage. I wanted a half PC10 / half CDL so it would be different to the Ares Collishaw / Porstmouth with PC10 top and sides.

These are for the up-coming extended OTT DYM campaign.

Note: I haven't yet decided if I will put the '17' and serial number '9739' on the 'fantasy' Redpath / Dell.

Here is a Grigorovich M9. Last month I did one for the IRAS so I figured after the revolution the "REDS" must have had some so here is my idea of that.

I am waiting on some decals to finish off a couple more Jasta 7 Fokker D.VII's. I have recently added two more the Jasta this weekend. Once they are all complete I should have ten scouts ready to fly over no mans land.

That's about the size of it Matt. One of my friends has got a 3D print file with all the colony vehicles and buildings, so we will be using some of that, and knowing me it will probably be lit up like a Christmas tree by the time I've finished.

Sounds good. Have my registration in for COLD WARS. Mike's game looks like a big one like the one at FALL IN. Told him any planes needed let me know and I will see what I have to help.
Kevin has some new decals for the 24th Aero and he made some for the Polish Esq (my request). They flew Albatros DIII's in the war with the Soviets in 1920.

I've sent Mike a list of what I have so we should be well covered. If he sells out it will be interesting to see how everyone will fit around the table.

I'm liking your gun-show find, Ken - I had a copy of that once upon a time...I shall have to see if I can find another. And your Civil War and French and Indian War figures are lovely, too.

I managed to find someone to 3D print a copy of Wayne's lovely HMS Thunder Child - it scales out to about 1/1200 scale (using the size of HMS Canopus as a baseline). I went to my local model shop and picked up a couple of 1/700 ships to cannibalize as I add detail to the model.

The CD of Jeff Wayne's take on the novel (which I owned in vinyl years ago) had been in my Amazon basket for a while, and I came across the novel while on Amazon (the site may have suggested it to me...) Both arrived yesterday

I look forward to adding it to my queue of projects.

I was holidaying at Victor Harbour over christmas bought that same CD! The record shop had stacks of titles on vinyl both new and original but the price for the War of the Worlds on vinyl was over $100 so I settled for the CD!

Finished two Valom Nieuport 11s - Serial 3983 (Flight Commander Kenneth Stevens Savory in 'Blue Bird' and Serial 3982 (Flight Sub-Lieutenant William Vazie Simons) of 2 Wing Royal Naval Air Service.

Despite the French insignia, 'Blue Bird' is British. The roundels on the bottom wing are British.

Close up the Nieuports and a picture of them bouncing two Fokker E.III

Also, I've added serial / plane numbers to the Sopwith Strutters. Here are the re-paints with the Ares RNAS Sopwith. They will form the 2-seater flight for my squadron in the OTT campaign. Adding the serial number to the Redpath-ish repaint definitely makes it fantasy as the real one should have PC10 on the sides. I just wanted something different to the Collishaw one.

The group in the front are AB while the ones in the back are Miniature Figurines. A small story of why I ended up with the two sets. The uniform for les Marins are my favourite Napoleonic uniform. I'm planning to re-fight the battle of Bailen and you can't do that without les Marins so I looked and looked and only Minifigs had the figures. So, I break down and get them. A couple of weeks later AB figures comes out with les Marins. Given the quality of AB figs and favourite uniform I had to get the AB figures. So, I ended up with two sets and being cheap I painted up both. The post-hoc rationale is that the second support group can be in reserve and will deceive your opponent into thinking they're far away.

All the command base figures, except the light infantry cornet (red plume with yellow tip), are AB figures. The cornet is Essex - I think.
