The biggest change is the gaming place itself. It will be still in Hotel Mars, but due to reconstruction of the conference hall we will move to the hotel restaurant. There are some positive and some negative aspects of this change:
    • we will start later - around 10:00,
    • there will be possible to order a drink or snack on a bar during play,
    • there is a hotel restriction about bringing your own food and drinks -> no recepcition and no own alcohol,
    • there will be probably less space in comparison with previous years,
    • there are no additional cost for rent the place.

As you can see, it will be different this year in comparison with previous ones. On the other hand, you can still come literary in you pyjamas and play.

Daniel, thank you for the beginning of the thread.

It will be a French attack on aliens with bombs containing influenza virus.

It was a shame to add you wrong flag and question marks instead of Cyrillic, my appologies. The only question mark from Serbia that I know is Kafana ?.

Btw, they do have a bar in dining room in Mars? So they'll serve drinks quicker than previous years, I guess
Which is all fine with me.
It's a pity only that we'll miss Food Fest this year. What's Lada's opinion on having FF on Friday in his Svet? Or that would be too much?

Also, it was nice debriefing once, when guy with accordion was playing traditionals. Maybe we could repeat that this year?

  17. #17

    Point by point:
    1. Yes, it will be there. They can serve us (not for such cheap price as Druid last year, but still OK) and that will be their reward (= no additional fee to hotel).
    2. It depends - Láďa tries to avoid food in his store when he held boardgames camps with childern, but we are adult. Let's ask him (do not forget there is a lot of garbage from FF).
    3. I did not noticed him. When he was from?

  18. #18

    Default

Accordion guy was there last year in Kozel (if I recall well).
He did disapeare in ninja-style after playing 5-6 songs, but he was amusing.

About Food Fest I agree it's Láďa's call, but, if possible, it would be nice. And maybe we should keep it a bit lower profile* than last years, but keep it - for tradition sake. But, again, it's up to Láďa to decide

    *With less food maybe

Nice knowledge of Serbian kafanas! It"s the oldest working kafana in Belgrade and, as you already know, they keep traditional interior.

And there's a lot of other very good such places in Belgrade which are a must to visit and eat and drink there.

Now almost 200 years old, in 1892 kafana was re-named "By the Cathedral Church", but that name was disputed as unpropper by the church and authorities, so owner temporarily put sign ?. And it stayed untill today.

I visited it in 2010 during my way from Banat to home. It was a charming experience, elegant and traditional. Highly recommend!

Seems a pity to not have at least 1 to follow the tradition of last years game with Andrea .

BSG: I don't have anything against, but I don't own it and Kubajs is also out of this game (the series was never in Czech TV, so we don't have the passion for this universe). The only game I've played was from Láďa's shop collection, but I think he won't want to be a game master.

Possibilities: If there will be a game master who is experienced with the game & rules, please, raise your hand and I can easily find a slot for it. There can be also possibility to lend Core Set from Láďa's shop, but I don't know if he has any expansion minis.
