Thread: Happy New Year

    Default Happy New Year

Things haven’t gone as intended. Past out in the restaurant and was taken by ambulance to emergency. Just seen the doctor. More tests but she thinks I will be going home afterwards. I will need a heart monitor halter for a couple of days to be sure about heart irregularities that are showing up.

Not the way to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Had something like this happen to me a while ago. Heart arrythmia, or atrial fibrillation. It was caused by double dosing with Pseudophed. I haven't taken Pseudophed, since, and haven't had a problem.

I'm hoping your episode is something like this, and nothing more serious.

Best of luck, and all the positive vibes I can send are on their way to you.

    Take it easy, Paul.

Listen to the quack, and go slow and steady.

Hope this is all cleared up in a speedy fashion!

Goodness! Not the way to ring in the New Year, indeed! Hope the cause is something easily fixable/manageable, as others have said...

Here's to a speedy recovery and a health 2020 - keep us posted on the prognosis...

    All the best,
    Matt

    Thanks everyone.

Heading home from emergency now (6 am). Probably a case of vasovagal syncope (fainting) caused by a combo of factors. Must follow up with my family doctor for heart monitoring.

Hope this is the low point for the new year ahead and everything is up from here on out. Take it easy.

I hope your fainting is a minor issue. Paul.
Prayers and good wishes to you.

I thought I ended the Year with a bang with a $700+ car repair bill Monday. (I so love check engine lights )

I will look upwards for 2020 from here, Peter. All the best to you for 2020.

Apologies for what’s perhaps over sharing but one does get bored in emergency waiting for the doctor which is better than being the patient with priority attention.

I did that earlier this year on my 2003 Ford Explorer....4 wheel bearings and both front and back brakes plus odds and ends were done through out the year.

As Peter wrote...maybe this is the low point for 2020.

Not the happiest way to start a year, but yeah, it could have been a lot worse.

Oddly enough, my daughter is pretty much in the same position, just not with the fainting in the restaurant part.

She gts heart monitor for another week, then EKG in two weeks, then the treadmill test for her birthday (mid-Feb).

Scary crap. Stay safe, stay healthy if you can, ShadowDragon.

Not what I was expecting, Paul.
    Take care of yourself.

    Sorry to hear this Paul.
Please accept my best wishes that it is just an anomaly like the one I had two summers ago which has not reoccurred since.

Very sorry to hear this Paul. Speedy recovery, wish you I.
My mother also landed in a hospital yesterday, so in a way, we are in the same boat.

Just heard from the doctor. All test results are normal. Probably couldn’t repeat my New Year’s Eve incident if I tried.

I recommend a long sea cruise to set you up again.

First off, don't ever drink what Father Jack drinks. We'd hate to lose you to St. Clabbards with a stage 12.

As long as it involves pirating and not shuffle boarding I’m good with that.

Will do, David....and that will mean building more planes for the next OTT campaign.

Looking forward to your joining OTT officially.
Go easy on your painting for a while - we don’t want a relapse.

Me too. Hopefully I won't be too much of a thorn in the side of Uncle.

No chance of the first and not chance of the second - at least not from painting.
