Default Pilots, tail gunners and bombers

Nothing serious. Just for those who want to man their planes.

Sorry I think this should have gone to the hobbies section.

Where did you source them from?

The last picture shows "Peter Pig" crew strips; the others in the planes look like "Reviresco" crew.

    Nice planes!

Actually the crew are Peter Pigs (also shown in the original strips) and the guns, I believe, are Reviresco's. Had the pile mixed up. Reviresco crews are slighter, probably more true scale. But PPs are plumper and given more character. Like the scarves and bomber model. Reviresco has the single MG models but the rail mounted tail guns look cooler.

My "Reviresco" Gunners pack has both single and twin-rear guns, including twins and singles mounted on scarf rings.

I use the "Reviresco" pilots for "Valom" kits and planes with wide-open cockpits, ie Gothas, where the whole body of the crew is easily visible, and "Peter Pig" pilots where the cockpit is so difficult to see into that a full pilot body is unnecessary.

Oooo, I didn't know Reviresco made gunners. I have Peter Pig and Shapeways but will be checking out Reviresco now too.

Shapeways has quite a few sets to pick from. Check out the Shapeways list (WGA) for accessories at the bottom of the 1st post 'HERE'.

Ok, looks like you can only get the Reviersco crew with a plane, not separately.

I bought a bunch of Shapeways gunners and observers but they are too small for my tired old eyes to deal with.

Shapeways are closer to scale and much smaller than the Peter Pig figures. Peter Pig pilots are just torso so getting them in position can be tricky but they are easier and more detailed to paint. Love their scarf flapping in the wind. I don't think PP makes observers though and mixing a PP pilot and Shapeways observer doesn't look right.

Peter Pig do British and German Rear Gunners as well as pilots.

Think no one ever does the bomber except PP (guy on the leftmost end of the stick). Love em,
    gives character.

How very sad of me. I thought the observer was taking a selfie. Very out of time and place. Sorry, but that is what I thought I saw, at first glance (with my old eyes).

Honestly, Mike, that's what I "saw" too.

Peter did you check with Reviresco about their pilots, I see they are not in the catalogue anymore.

I saw (actually didn't see) that too. I'll email John directly and ask.

Chris, they do still have them on their site. They are hidden at the bottom of the French and Italian 1/144 plane page. 30 random pilots and gunners for $8. (USD)
