    Default WW1 Recon Maps

    Hi,
Haven't played this for YEARS but decided to introduce some kids an alternative to tablet games last saturday. They enjoyed it and will be doing another round this weekend👌
I got the map from real high resolution WW1 recon photos. Looks nice in photos!

Welcome to the Aerodrome, Raf, from here near Norwich in the United Kingdom.

Well done on producing the map and for recruiting some new pilots! It looks like they had quite a battle. I hope that Sopwith Triplane pilot has not used up all his luck.

    Thanks for the welcome!
We've played this years ago when my son was 5 years old. Easy and challenging enough to learn but he cries when he gets shot down so made for very interesting matches then.
Glad to have resurrected this 6 years later with friends. Will get this going.
Also good to see that the game is reprinted. Planes were a rare buy then. Most are Revirescos and lucky to have gotten some of the Nexus Cards. A bit of effort required but they assemble really nice.

Excellent job on both the map and the re-introduction!

Welcome back to flying! Your map looks great. You can easily see the planes. In photos with the ARES matts it can be difficult to make out the planes clearly. Looks like you'll have a good roster of pilots to fly with.

I had the image printed out in regular tarp... like for signages and banners. The whole French-Belgian border is catalogued out there in the net in high resolution. This was 6-7 years ago and I'm not sure if it's still there. Don't even know where to find it now. I had a few printed then.

I agree with Peter - the planes really pop on your mat.
    Welcome back to the game.
