    Default The Colonial Seeks Revenge!

So, I asked Son#1 for a rematch. This time, I'm driving a Mk VII!

We also decided to try out some of the special abilities. I took the extra gun and the ability to avoid the + sign. He took... well, one that really did me in, the speed change ability.

We're still learning the rules, so we still haven't gotten to the change orientation section. If so, this game may have gone in my favor. As it was, those times when I thought I was outguessing him, he used his change speed ability to thwart my plans.

And my Mk VII, ever so pretty, was totally hosed by the Raider.

Hmmm ..... Have you ever thought about taking up Sails of Glory?

Hmmm... so, where did you get your ship card? The Mk VII is better than the card you used. Or, the official ship card will be better than what you used.

It wouldn't survive 20 damage, but perhaps the Acceleration 4 rating could have given you a few more maneuver options.

That's from the official Mk VII Apollo pack that I bought last weekend at Pax Unplugged. Had I known they weren't readily available yet, I would have bought all three versions of the Mk VII.

That's also the variant with the factory installed software removed. I believe the fresh from the factory ship has accel of 4.

OK. So, they've down-graded the ships from the play-test versions, perhaps.

I did not know that the Viper Mk.VII models were available in the United States.

And this one is pretty good at it, too. I learned years ago that I didn't need to pull any punches when gaming against him.

They were with the Ares booth at Pax Unplugged. Had I know they weren't available in stores yet I would have bought more!
