Default New magazine on German military 1914 - 45

Just came across a new mag called Iron Cross, dealing exclusively with the German military of 2 World Wars.

Quoting the publishers from their Faceache page:

“Published every 3 months, every issue will put the German military under the microscope; looking at organisations and tactics, as well as at material, technology, politics, and the more personal and human elements of the German serviceman's experience. The content covers the land, sea and air across all periods of both wars.

Written by leading historians and experts, regular features include book reviews, news, letters, weapons, equipment, unit emblems and histories and collecting German militaria. “

First issue available now contains articles on:
    • 1944 - Over the Beaches: The Luftwaffe on D-Day
    • 1940 - Operation Juno: Sinking the Glorious
    • 1939 - German war crimes in Poland
    • 1917 - (Archaeology) Under the Track: Digging Bullecourt
    • 1917 - Holding the Hindenburg Line: The Battle of Bullecourt
    • 1916 - The Coffin Lid: The Capture of Fort Douaumont
    • 1914/18 - Slaughter Birds: German Schlachtflieger in World War 1
    • 1914/18 - Feldgrau: Development of the field grey uniform in World War 1

Price is £8.99 a lump and available from Smiffs from June 28 in the U.K., or as a subscription from the publishers saving £2 an issue. Issue 1 has a nice colourised photo of a Halberstadt CL.II
