Fall In - Earth on the Brink
12 eager players joined for a bout of T&T. Unfortunately, this table was in a small room and in a tight corner. I had to turn away a couple of potential players for lack of physical space.
Not having flown WW2 planes vs the Tripods I went with 2 planes vs each Tripod. I chose earlier planes, ME109Es, Spitfire IIs, A6M2 Zeros and P-40s. As it turned out even these early planes easily out powered the Martians. The Martians spent most of their time recharging. Only one objective was reached.
Impassable terrain was placed to make the Martians have to maneuver to reach their objectives.
Standing room only! John H. Martian (bottom left) scored a seat next to the GM.
New players get a few turns to get used to the game before engaging the invaders from the Red Planet.
A ME109 gets to feel the energy of a heat ray.
One Tripod gets more attention than he wanted. I think this was John?
A P-40 blasts away at the shielded side of an invader. (Martian card down because of overlapping bases)
A cloud of toxic black smoke bursts in front of a Spitfire. He has no chance to avoid it and has to fly right into it.
Several ME109s give one Martian a hard time.
One Martian finds out the hard way that he shouldn’t try to walk through the woods. He topples and falls. His only grace was that the Zero overlapped as he fell.
This Martian belches out a black cloud upon two Axis earthlings.
A Zero feels the heat and has his tail singed.
The RAF doing it’s part to save the planet.
P-40 gets a kill shot. The Martians are not such a big threat after all.
