Fall In – game 3 – Gothas Over Paris

4 German and 4 French pilots had a go at each other in this one. Germans flew either a Gotha bomber or a 2 seater escort Rumpler. The defending French flew SPAD VIIs and Nieuport 17s.

The Germans had to cross the board to reach their target, Paris.

As soon as the intercepting French passed the escorts they score a hit and one of the Gotha’s engines trails a black cloud of oily smoke.

The French air defense around Paris failed this day to keep Paris safe. Three Gothas of three got through. A clear German win.

The French downed 2 German escort planes.
The Germans downed 6 French interceptors.

    Top Hun pilot, John H.
    Top French pilot, Don H.

Thanks for the AAR, Peter. I haven't seen Spad VIIs in action for a while.

Great AAR Peter! Those SPADs are beautiful! I had seen them on your bench while in process, and the finished product is fabulous!

How did you do those cat markings?

Looks like a tough day for the French. Those Gothas are tough! I look forward to getting mine on the table soon.

Thanks all. SPAD VIIs don't have an exciting maneuver deck (B) but any plane that looks nice is more fun to fly.

Dave, I made the decals for the panthers.

Missed this earlier Peter, must pay more attention ! Superb game, like the SPAD VII, much underrated in the game.
