Once again we have been invited to put forward a submission for a participation/demo game at what is traditionally our first big show of the year.

They have stated that they are looking for 6x4 games, with only a couple of larger games. However, we have a fairly good rep with the show and we can generally squeeze a bit more space out of them, providing I leave the Air Raid Siren at home...

Does anyone have any burning ideas that they want to showcase this time?

Do we want to do WGF, WGS or push for both?

    Who is able/likely/possible to attend?

I’ll pull together the submission for the end of the month.

Hi Simon, Chris, Tim and I fancy putting on Battlestar Galactica games. 6x4 table would suffice with perhaps an add on table for laying out stuff, say 8x4?

    Hi Simon
I will definitely be there and am not fussed whether SGF or SGS but do NOT want to do BSG.

The Vapnartak team have confirmed that we can have the table for the BGS game and I will be running a BoB Fighter Furball as it is BoB80 this year.

Timings as per usual, but will remind you all at W-2.

Are the games BSG and WGS? York isn't a show I normally attend but I'm trying to make an effort to play some game this year.

Last minute change.. unfortunately Simon (Strangely Brown) can’t join us, so we will replace his traditional Battle of Britain game with a WW1 table whilst maintaining the Battlestar Galactica table.
Tally Ho chaps, see you upon the morrow...

And that’s a wrap for another year, huge thank you to Tim and Neil for running what looked like a very successful first showing of the BSG game up here in t’north. Thanks also to Reg for his sterling support on the WW1 table. Not hordes of players like we have had in past years but enough to keep us busy. Some photos to follow...

Did smile at those in the queue waiting to come in wearing surgical masks... I know it’s York but...
At least we can’t blame Dave Manley for this outbreak...

Body has now been reunited with brain, can anyone tell me where I've been, again?

    Neil

PS: Steve (Guntruck) watch this space (pun intended) on how to navigate an asteroid field at kinetic energy 6, in a Viper, being shot to bits and survive. (For most of the game with 1 damage point left).

A note to self, do not play games with children, they learn fast and you keep getting shot down Neil.

Great day, great meeting up with Chris, Reg and Tim after so long. Thanks to Tim for the 5 minute 'How to fly a Viper Mk II' flight lesson, thrown into the deep end but having a great time.

Had a great day at Vapnartak and it was good to see Neil again after so long and find him looking so well! Thanks to Chris (Hedeby) for putting on the WW1 game at very short notice as the WW2 game we expected to play was cancelled at the last minute (18.00 hours on Saturday) by Strangely Brown who we hope is Ok.
Had a good day flying Camels on a Balloon Busting mission only being shot down twice having managed to only inflict 6 points of damage. I was so fixated on the two balloons that I forgot to take evasive action against the Albatri that were the Balloon defence. Got my own back in my last sortie when having had an almost clear run at the second Balloon I managed to set it on fire and having taken a mere two points of Damage I quickly flew back to base to collect my medal. In all we lost 4 camels and I was the only survivor. Enjoyed it immensely spent way too much money and am now awaiting Hammerhead to do it all again.

As a personal York post script, Simon was sorely missed on Sunday. I do hope all is well.
