Okay kids, fasten your seatbelts, Clipper is back in the shop!
In a parallel universe I am deeply involved in Free Flight Scale, this fall I placed four events, one that I had not expected was a traveling memorial for Walt Mooney, a founder of one of our events back in the 60's.
I see the photo gremlins are after me, but I don't care. Here is the list of models I scratch built for the 4 day event.
38" Lancaster! Did a 40 foot loop on its first flight!
Yes it's me, scary.
An XB-70 twin rubber model . . . quite gracefully in flight.
Fairey Barracudas, a 16" and a 28" version, made carrier take offs, quite cool! Also very well camouflaged in a sea of alfalfa.
And more . . . 13 events for 48 flights, got a real workout! More later. Getting back to the game, new batch of Zeppelins getting going, foam cutting marathon well underway . . .
