Trying to make sense of it all.

The order from Idflieg was issued in April 1917 to eliminate the use of reddish brown and to subsitute lilac and dark green.

Albatros D.V

1000 - 1199/17 D.V
wings were painted camouflaged in lilac and dark green.

1962 - 2361/17 D.V

1962 - 2061 and 2157 - 2224 had painted camouflage of lilac and dark green.
2227 - 2361 perhaps had 5 color printed dark fabric covered top surfaces and light pattern on the under surfaces of the wings and tailplanes.

4403 - 4702/17 D.V
were covered with 5 color printed, dark pattern on the top surface and the light pattern on the under surfaces of the wings and tailplanes.

on the Albatros D.V the scheme was most often:
upper wing; Lilac/Dark Green/Lilac
lower wing dark green/lilac/fuselage/lilac/dark green

Of course there were most likely exceptions.
