This book is by HELION & COMPANY. It is on the lines of an OSPREY book but larger. There are many photos and 8 pages of color plates. It starts with the history of Ethiopia back to ancient times/WWII/until they became an independent country and how Somalia came about. The book talks about the political situation and how each country took sides during the COLD WAR. At first Ethiopia was supplied by the US and Somalia by Russia. Later Ethiopia changed sides and was supplied by Russia and Somalia received no help thus the demise of the SAF and the fact that Ethiopia had US and Russian planes. This was an easy read (63 pages) but it contained a lot of information. For me well worth the price, $25.00.
