Thread: WGS: Maritime Recon

    Default WGS: Maritime Recon

A Ju88 is sent out to reconnoitre the area north of Norway to check for the presence of British warships. The German must fly within half a ruler length of any target and perform a stall to take a photo. The aircraft must then return to base to complete the mission. The British have a carrier in the area and there are two Gloster Gladiators flying over a Battleship as cover. All planes can can inflict a single A damage chit at one ruler length on each other, and a B damage chit at half a ruler length. The ship will not be firing AA due to the friendly aircraft overhead. Baxter is flying the Ju88, and Biggles Downunder and Windy Jack are the Gladiator pilots.

Through the murk the target appears!

Not only did I have a spluttering engine, but I chose to turn the wrong way twice over which put me even further behind!

Blamed it on engine oil on the windscreen

    Yep - what he said.

What is that lovely ship model?

And what Baxter didn't tell you, I got to be official photographer for the rest of the game after my Gladiator went down. That was much better than just sitting, twiddling my thumbs while I watched the other two battle it out.

    Hi Pete,

It is HMS Howe, an Amercon 1/1000 model. I also bought the German Lutzow for a future mission. Pre painted and pretty cheap, they are good value.

The reason I did not mention this is because it is against the Geneva Convention to get an enemy officer to work for you.

I do love a bit of air/sea action!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Super AAR Gary but next time put up some Sea Hurricanes instead of Hope and Glory.
