Super looking 10 Carl. It is always good to see something new in the Showcase, and I have always liked those cream finished Nieuports.

I can see that the Italian front is getting more than just a modicum of support then Zoe.

The pic is a little blurry, but the camo looks great.

Here are a pair of N12s just done up for the OTT campaign. Planes are Daryl's designs at Shapeways, ReducedAircraftFactory.

Coincidentally they are from Escadrille N12!

For painting info... both were black primed, then...undercarriage and outer struts Craftsmart (craft paint) expresso

CDL is first undercoated with My Studio (craft paint) 72722 Suede, then coated with AK Interactive Bleached Linen (from the 3 paint canvas set)
and a light wash of Folk Art (craft paint) 419 teddy bear tan.

Front panels are Americana (craft paint) DA114 light cinnamon.

Aluminum doped N12 is Model master Aluminum with a light wash of Anita's Acrylic (craft paint) 11031 Dove Grey.

A very neatly done pair of aircraft as usual Pete.
Looking forward to seeing them as soon as I catch up with the missions.
Like several others I don't pre read any of the AARs until I have flown the mission. I am about to read the mission for May. Thus I have a lot of reading to do.

    Such precision! Well done.

Some day I'll have to do a Nieuport 20 model so this thread can reach its full potential.

Thanks Daryl. Yes, one is a Beardmore but I painted it up as French as I had to reinforce my French wing. Ces' la vie!

Peter, love the detail on the observer/gunner. Those tiny guys have to been a trial in patience.

Thanks Dan. The Shapeways crew are not very detailed so you can't get much out of them. The Peter Pig ones though are great. See one 'HERE'. No comparison with what you can do between the two!

Okay, wow. That Pfalz is a museum piece! The nieuports here are really awesome as well! Does anybody in the US sell the peter pig minis?

I get mine from Brookhurst Hobbies. They carry Peter Pig in the US.

Call it a Nieuport 12bis and no one will ever know.

Great work on those N.12s, Peter.
I especially like the CDL version.
Looking forward to seeing them in action Over the Trenches.

As threatened, I made a Nieuport 20 available on Shapeways. The type was based on the N12 and was only flown by three RFC squadrons during 1916.

Nice. So your threat is as good as your word? Or your word is a good threat?
