    Hey!

This looks awesome! Especially the windows of the airplane look really realistic! How do you paint them?

And where do you buy these ariel "pegs"? I dind't found some in a good size for me.

    Thank you!

    Greetings

    Florian

Hi Florian. For window painting I paint the glass areas either very light blue, white or silver. Then I use a dark blue wash. Pretty easy. The tough part is later painting the supports between the glass!

I make my own bases. You can see how 'HERE'.

    Thumbs up

    Great work Peter.
Nice to see some Aussie Aircraft for gaming.

In what scenarios do you intend to use them?

Hi Baz, I'm running a 'Trouble over Malaysia' scenario at "Council of Five Nations' in Schenectady New York in September. I have a couple of Vildebeests to finish up too!

I want to put together a Java to Rabaul campaign so plan on using them there too.

Good spot. They are licenced built Texans, with some Aussie mods. Like twin MGs over the nose, and a tail gun. But, otherwise, pretty much a Texan, or Harvard for the RAF/RCAF.

I thought the tail was different as well. I recall an article in the old Almark "Model World" magazine that featured replacing the tail with that from a Boomerang fighter

Gorgeous work, as always, Peter - and your planned campaign sounds great! I love that you are bringing so many useful but 'unusual' planes to the table

    All the best,
    Matt

It was designed after the North American Aviation NA-16, which also looks just like the Texan T6!

This model is a T6. RAAF 24 Squadron, pilot Flying Officer Bruce Anderson flew it at Rabaul.
