BSG: 33 Scenario

At Canberra for Wintercon on Saturday. Attendances were low but I was amazed at all the Ares stuff for sale.





Taking advantage of a $15 rebate offer I bought some goodies for both T&T and BSG. I got some nice freebies from Zoe as well.

I was also very impressed with the ARES space mats. I know this was a demonstration set but I do hope they become available to the great unwashed.

Those pre-release Raptors and Heavy raiders look really nice too. Beautifully detailed models!





The 33 scenario is where a Raptor comes on the scene to rescue Viper Pilots after they have ejected. I played a Cylon as did Andrew (Zoe's son), and Zoe flew the Colonial birds.
Struggling with the rules, I was shot down twice in quick succession!



In my third incarnation I managed to shoot down my first Viper. I was lucky because the Viper on my left actually missed me. Andrew shot down 2 so there were 3 ejected pilots awaiting rescue.



The rest of the game Zoe was trying to reel in those ejected pilots and we were trying to close and kill Zoe's Raptor. It ended when Zoe inadvertently flew off the edge of the mat.

All in all a good game was had by all. End result - 2 Cylons down (mine) along with 3 clapped out Vipers and a Raptor flying off the edge.

Nice to see the game be enacted again Gary, although my attempt at it at Prague was not my finest hour to say the least.
