    Default P-40's & Zero's

Just found this video. It is from 2016 but something to see.

Thank you for the link, Bob. It was great to see those planes flying. I wonder whether those Zero's appear in the forthcoming Midway film or whether it will all be c.g.i..

Not sure what those Zero's really are. I am pretty sure there are no real Zeros flying but I know that someone here knows what these are.

Took these at the show at Andrews AFB 2 years ago.

There is an A6M-5c flying, in green/grey colours, which made an appearance in that god-awful "Affleccted" 'Pearl Harbor' movie.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

There are a number of replicas & restorations but not many that fly:

    Nice pictures!

Based on the article (linked below) they are heavily modified American WWII training aircraft Vultee BT-13 and North American AT-6.
They were originally built for the 1970 film Tora, Tora, Tora. After filming they were donated to the CAF where they were subsequently used in the touring Pearl Harbor reenactment demonstration.

Edit: Interesting bit from the article, some of the planes have been used in the TV series Baa Baa Black Sheep, the film The Final Countdown and the 2001 Pearl Harbor film.

I took this one when I went on a cruise aboard the SS Brown out of Baltimore. They said it is a Yak trainer and looks like a Zero, sort of.
