This may have been discussed already, if so, I apologize
Can it be possible that WoG Albatross D.Va attributed to Paul Baumar was actually Wilhelm Lehmann's one? Baumar's had a purple band underneath the Edelweiss?

Have no idea if, or, when the colours were used, or, changed, if accurate or not - even seen this scheme in black - but this image from Wings Palette suggests that both those pilots used the same machine, one taking over from the other, though that particular info may be inaccurate in itself !
The edelweiss is said to be Bäumer's personal marking though and the only difference I've come across is that Lehmann's had an L on the wing underside & Bäumer's had a B. The model has neither.

Makes lots of sence Dave!
Bit like the Flashar / von Hippel machine from Jasta 5 .

If the model bears neither a B nor an L then it presents an opportunity for customization.
Indeed - buy two and have both !

That was suggested as an error due to red looking black on the old b/w photo's of the day Peter so check before you commit.
