Thread: Tuskegee airman

    Default Tuskegee airman

Saw the other day that one of the Tuskegee Airmen passed away. I thought they said his name was Ltc French but not sure of that. Many stayed in the AF and went on to fly in Korea and Viet Nam. Cappy James flew with Robin Olds and retired as a Gen. When I see their age I always say how things have changed through out their lives not only in what they flew but life in general.

A salute to another hero that has passed away.

Robert Friend is the Hero who passed away yesterday. Blue skies and may he rest in peace.

I used to believe something I read about no bomber was lost while being escorted by the Tuskagee airmen. They were an exceptional group of pilots, dedicated and highly skilled.

May he rest in peace. They were a great group of fliers.
