Default Origins 2019 Extra Curricular Activity

We hit the Hofbrauhaus not once but twice during the week. We went thursday night and I managed to forget my credit card. It couldn't have been the beer, apple schnapps, and barenjager. Since we had to go back for my card it would be rude not to enjoy more good food and beer.

Left to right in the picture is John Seitz Potrzebie, Michael Moore, Jim O'Neil rhodie80, and Harry Materne matt56.

Here's to them what are like us. Damn few and they're all dead.

Sadly, I missed both times. Just bad timing and such, so hopefully next year.

Smiling faces, good food and drink, and music. What a great social asset this game has become.

Looks like my kind of place because of the happy faces.

    Thumbs up

Looks like a great place to while away a few hours & a few beers!

It is that kind of place, Baz! My only complaint with it is that sometimes the music is so loud that it makes conversation a challenge. The first night we were there was such a night, but this picture from the second night shows the accordian player, and his volume was not overpowering for chatting.

    All the best,
    Matt

I really hate the modern trend for Pubs (and some Restaurants) thinking that they are night clubs, and that they MUST play thunderously-loud "dance" music from 6pm onwards

As we were finishing up, Tim, the same fellow from the previous night came on stage...we were happy we were finishing up! You might expect beer hall music in a beer hall, but volume is the key, and the acoustics in the place leave a bit to be desired...

    All the best,
    Matt

Sorry to have missed out on the dual visits to the 'Haus' but at least Deborah and I got there Sunday right after leaving Origins. My excuse was to play in Wings games. I rarely get to play during the year so had to weigh my options. This year I flew, next year I'll hit the 'Haus'.
