    Default Origins 2019 Saturday

Saturday afternoon I ran a game with my Zeppelin!

This scenario has a Zeppelin returning from it’s raid over Britain. Bad weather at high altitude has forced it to drop below the high winds, down to a level where aircraft can intercept. Some German scouts were sent up to protect the big ship as French and British RNAS scouts were scrambled when word got out that a Zeppelin was in reach.

I used a watered down version of the Zeppelin rules that are in the files.

Funny how you put a Zeppelin on the table and out come the cameras.

The Zeppelin was extremely lucky in this encounter. It avoided any boom shots from the Entente aircraft. It also quickly put out it’s fires as they all occurred on 1 point damage cards.

The Zep also had an advantage as there were 15 players. This considerably slows down a game having less turns played and the Zep taking less attacks. But hey, once in a while a Zeppelin has to escape to tell the tale.

i had great fun piloting the zeppelin. i also managed to break my boom card curse dealing out 4 of them to the 6 kills i managed to rack up. i did have one cell explode when my engineers failed to douse one fire in time, but we managed to struggle our valuable airship back to the safety of the fatherland!

Its two layers of house insulation foam. Pink or blue, whatever is available at the time. I forget which I had. Fins are Basswood. Gondolas wood. Not built to scale like Clippers or even a plan, I winged it.
