I hesitated to post this seeing as my photos did not turn out so well but ...... About a week ago our group decided to fly a Zeppelin mission. We have a 2D printed Zeppelin that is 53 inches long. Because of it's size it was decided to have it stationary in the middle of our map. The Zeppelin was given 60 points of damage with four machine gun points located on top. There is a gap at the tail where the tail gun cannot fire forward and number 3 gun cannot reach the tail. Thinking that any attackers would exploit this weakness a defending Eindecker was stationed back there as a deterrent. Due to the model being 2D we decided that planes could fly over the Zeppelin but could not fire at it during the overlap. The Zeppelin, however could fire at any plane that was overhead. The attacking planes consisted of a flight of 3 Moranes and a 3 Nieuports. The Nieuports were respawn planes for any pilot who was shot down in his Morane.
The Zeppelin could not catch fire or smoke because incendiary bullets were not used. The explosion would cause 10 points of damage to the dirigible but would be fatal to aircraft.
