Thread: Origins RNAS to the rescue.

Default Origins RNAS to the rescue.

I have pictures of several of the games we put on at Origins, I will be posting them over the next few days. Hope you enjoy.

This game was put on by matt56. A wonderful fur ball developed around a British destroyer. The destroyer was made by clipper1681 and is gorgeous.

It was, Robert - Dave/Clipper1801 made two of them a while back when he was working on his first aircraft carrier model - the lighter being towed behind the destroyer from which the Camel was launched. I managed to purchase one from him when he was weeding out his collection about a year and a half ago...it's a wonderful little model, and I had hoped to run just such a scenario when I bought it. Things worked out nicely in the game...

    All the best,
    Matt

So what do you who have played against the ship think of 1 : 1 scale action? Just wondering . . .

As a GM I must say I like running this sort of game! I also want to do some ground attack against 1/285-6mm tanks and vehicles - I really like being able to 'see' what I am attacking...and the ability to fly at one or two pegs puts you 'down on the deck' in a range where all sorts of things can happen...

At some point I want to get a few 1/144 tanks and vehicles and have scouts and 2-seaters hammer them...

    All the best,
    Matt

There were seven Brits and seven Germans - Brits were all Camels with a couple of SE5a aircraft - Germans were Marinejagdgeschwader scouts with a couple of Halberstadt CLIIs. A great mix of planes, and lots of mixing it up around the ship and with one another. I'm very pleased with the way the players handled themselves

    All the best,
    Matt
