"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
From my Kobo synopsis. Book One of three in the series following the adventures of Corporal Quinney in love and war over the Italian front. If I didnt have so many books unread I would buy it. It is less than $8.
Thanks Gary.
Over the Italian Front does it for me. I will make a point of reading that one.

What is the British plane on the cover?
It looks suspiciously like a Stearman
To be a little pedantic, I think it's an "artist's rendition of a WWI-like plane". It must be a radial engine since the propeller is blurred but the cylinders are not.
Well I guess seeing as it is fiction .........
It is always amusing to see how many cover artists manage to mangle either history or the features of a well documented historical character.

Just that sort of thing Daryl.

The other two books in the series look a bit more realistic:-
Sorry for the size and quality.
Hi Chaps!
I looked up this trilogy on Amazon & found that Max Hennessy is actually John Harris who wrote the best seller (& Movie) "the Sea Shall not Have Them". He has written many books under a number of names.
The Series got 4 stars for the first book & 5 stars for the next two.
I ordered a copy for my Tablet today.
Cor .... ! This is almost enough to wean me off of Andy McNab!
Thanks for that extra bit of info Baz.
I will be onto Amazon shortly myself now.
