Default Salute 2020 London 18 April

Seems the dust has only just settled on this year’s Salute, and they are asking for table applications already. I don’t like this, it smacks of efficiency!

Anyways, Saturday 18 April is the date. Is there any enthusiasm for putting on a game or three? Again, I will be tied up on my club’s table, and as I have been pushing for our game for 2 years or more, and will by then have designed the game, built all the scenery, painted all the figures and playtested the rules (usually the night before Salute ) I can’t really get out of it.

Not looking for definite numbers, but at this stage just need a general grunt of agreement that we want a table again. If so, I will book one.

Hi Steve. Planning a trip to Canada around April / May time next year, so cannot commit to Salute until we have firmed up our travel arrangements. I'll make it again if I can.

I'll probably be OK to join in, provided it doesn't clash with Prague.

I’d love to go but my wife has told me that I can go to Prague next year and I don’t want to push my luck, lol

Just had confirmation we have a table at Salute. Wristbands etc after Christmas.

Edit: Just talked to one of the organisers at Colours today. He showed me a flyer that says next years theme is Battle of Britain 1940.

Strangely Brown and his set up would be ideal. Or something along those lines.

On the outside chance that Tim hasn't got enough for everyone, I can offer my RAF and Luftwaffe aircraft. Might have a Seenotdienst plane or two to shoot at by then (much easier to hit when they are painted white with red aiming points ).

Bumping this up, as it's only a few weeks away.

I'll be taking "Luftflotte Helmut" plus RAF opposition - who's with me?

Tim, I'll be there in spirit (assuming Boris doesn't ban big events by then), but at another table chasing punters around with a bunch of aliens. Let me know if you need anything brought along.

The wristbands haven't arrived but should be sent out shortly. Shall I forward them to you or John?

<<Sneaky Plan>> Actually, if you were to send them to him, he'd HAVE to come!

No, seriously, send 'em to me, please.

    Hi All,
Mrs Biggles and I will be there.
I seem to have been posted away for quite some time, but having just had a jolly good time with the chaps over France this evening I should be back to regular duties.

Not sure yet re: timing - I intend to get there early, drive into the hall, unload & drive out.
Need to confirm what times I can do this.

Plan A - I'll PM you my phone number - when you arrive, give me a call and I'll come out to give you your wristband.
Plan B - PM me your snail mail address, and I'll post your wristband to you; then you can rock up any time that suits you!

    Exclamation Salute has been postponed

Just looked on South London Warlords Facebook page and saw Salute has been postponed (not cancelled). No new date announced yet. Can't say this has come as a surprise.

Default Salute 2021 postponed until November?

It appears that Salue 2021 has been moved to 27 November, according to posts on Facebook. If true, this clashes with Warfare at Ascot racecourse, so traders will be well chuffed, as will many punters.
