Woohoo. I just received notification from the Australian distributors that my shipment is due tomorrow or Monday!
That means it is somewhere between Melbourne and Adelaide!
Am I excited?? Let me just check...

Just in here too.
People of the Earth!
Great news from our fulfillment and distribution partner Rival Sky.
As anticipated by Evan this morning on his Facebook account, they sent out all the shipments at record speed, and they are now on their way to the homes of our Australia and New Zealand backers.
We are also anticipating the arrival of our US/Canada shipment and EU shipment, so we are now locking in all the backer addresses, and sending packing lists to the warehouse.
CHECK IF YOUR ADDRESS IN OUR PLEDGE MANAGER IS ACCURATE - NOW!
If it is not - change it now! (If your address is correct, there's no special action you must take.)
We will use your account address for the shipment (not the order address, which might be outdated by now), so that's the one you have to make sure matches the destination of your rewards.
If you have any special requirements (for example, you are moving in July and you need your shipment to be delayed), please contact us with a message or an e-mail to customercare[at]aresgames.eu
Addresses will be locked on June 30th, so any change you do after that date may cause a delayed or lost shipment.
Thanks for your patience and support until now, and we look forward to your photos and comments.
Please feel free to share your best Tripods & Triplanes unboxing or playing moments on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #tripodsandtriplanes #aresgames #theinvasionbegins so we can find out about them!

"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
So Rival Sky is assisting the Martian invasion? Yikes, just when you thought they were the good guys!!!!
Looks like it's finally happening. Now all the crying can stop....until next time!
yay - mine arrived at 9am this morning so it's official - Martians have invaded Adelaide - look for the headlines on tonight's news!!!
Now it's off to the think tank to come up with suitable storage and transportation solutions!
To fit in with the story, you ought to keep them in a cylinder but boxes of some sort will be more convenient.
Where will they strike next?
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Well, the octagonal bases on the tripods would allow them to fit into a cylindrical holder of some sort, although it is not a regular octagon...perhaps a scale section of a landed cylinder is in the future as a piece of scenery, too...
I am looking forward to seeing their landing in Ohio soon...
All the best,
Matt
Gary did you buy the whole store ? Some haul there.
With the series of pictures gradually revealing the contents, Boxter, it looks a lot like Christmas!!!! (Sorry, that should be Baxter, shouldn't it?)
Latest from Ares:
"The EU shipment got an extra dose of bad luck. It was delivered at La Spezia port, but picked for a random customs inspection. Always hard to say the kind of delay this produces - on average, one week is to be added to the schedule."
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Nearing their warehouse in Indiana, but I’m looking at the calendar warily. Bets that my copy arrives sometime late next week...when I will be in Yosemite! Half Dome or Tripods? Sigh...
And for those who haven’t seen it yet:
People of the Earth!
the title says it all, but if you are hungry for more details, here's the current status on the US/Canada and EU shipments.
The US/Canada shipment has cleared customs and crossed the continent. It's in transit in Chicago, IL now, and we expect tosee it delivered to our warehouse in Ft. Wayne, Indiana before the end of the week (normally, depending on trucking schedule, the time required for this last "jump" in the trip is 2-3 days).
The EU shipment got an extra dose of bad luck. It was delivered at La Spezia port, but picked for a random customs inspection. Always hard to say the kind of delay this produces - on average, one week is to be added to the schedule.
As you remember from our previous updates, AFRICA, ASIA, OCEANIA AND SOUTH AMERICA are all fulfilled now (and we know several of you have a copy of T&T in hand!).
. . . Yeah, I'm doing grand kid rockets and planes out of town till the 13th, they may arrive to an empty porch . . . LET THE PACKAGE POACHERS BEWARE!!
Yeah, package poaching is getting to be a career choice these days. Safer than holding up convenience stores I guess. More options for the pond life!
I had forgotten we were getting a 'new' mat with the game... Perhaps I should revisit the Kickstarter and remind myself...
Now that you have opened up the Mars Bars Down Under, Wayne, I shall have to get some here for the Grand Event - looking forward to getting my haul in a couple of weeks...
All the best,
Matt
Mars bars may become the de rigueur snack for games, but they look somehow smaller than they were during the last invasion.

My local games shop owner telephoned me today to say that he had received some Ball Nieuport 16's but not the Series 1 reprints.
Mars bars are another Martian weapon really. You eat too many and your teeth will fall out and you will not be able to eat any more meat. You will die ..... Honest

Here's a new update on the fulfillment process of Tripods & Triplanes:
The US/Canada container lands today at our fulfillment warehouse (AGS) in Ft. Wayne, Illinois. Tomorrow is July, 4th - it's hard not to think of the OTHER alien invasion beginning on the same date :-) Seriously - because of the holiday, we expect the container content to be checked and counted by our warehouse staff on Friday, and our fulfillment partner AGS will start preparing and sending out orders next week.
The EU container has been selected for PHYSICAL inspection in La Spezia. When customs decide to stop a container for inspection, sometimes it's just a more detailed look at the moment. In this case, customs officer will actually get a chance to play Tripods & Triplanes before we do, if they happen to be gamers! They will physically open the container, break open 1 or 2 cases (no worries, we have a few copies to spare for this kind of events), and check that we are not smuggling into Europe anything illegal. This kind of operation is always an unknown factor in terms of how long it takes - it can be over in a day or two, or take a few more days.
In the meantime, Tripods are invading Australia. Don't be jealous - you will soon get a chance to defend the planet from the Martians, too!

Good news, makes me wonder, Fort Wayne is not in Illinois, though . . .
That's good news to hear. Should be getting a few packages over the next few weeks.
Just finished "The Massacre of Mankind" and now I am even more unsettled on these designs. They lack the graceful height of the Wellian originals, not that Ares design is bad, its just a bit different . . . that said I am contemplating a need to do some scratch builds for my use. A few cylinders are in order as well as a few Landships and Martian Flying machines. And of course we cannot leave out the Gothas and Zeppelins . . .
Wow graham it looks like you have some extra goodies as well!
Tally-ho Bigglesworth! - Nah, this is just the key bits of the Second Invasion Pledge plus the Nieuport and Locust from the core...there's other bits and pieces in the basic T&T set box. So much goodness - Second Invasion was well worth stumping up the cash for.
Aha, Second Invasion explains it - I did the First Invasion pledge and was super impressed with the value of that in terms of extra goodies!
What part of Perth are you in? I am in Joondalup 4 times a year for a week at a time on business.
Hi Biggles,
I'm in the southern suburbs, and regularly game on Wednesday nights at Perth Miniatures Gamers Group at the Rhein Donau Club in Myaree (again, south of the River). You're welcome to sideslip in if you get a chance - throw up a signal flare and with a little bit of advanced warning we can put on some Wings of Glory and/or Tripods - just drop me a line for details.
