    Very nicely done!

I do prefer understated aileron lines, as you have here.
I find using black for the demarcation is a bit too harsh for my personal taste. I used black the first time out, but never since.

    Thanks, Tim.

I agree without about the use of black. I use only burnt umber; although my current burnt umber coloured gesso is too dark. Once this pack of gesso is used up I will likely revert to white gesso with a burnt umber wash - yes, twice the work. I had been using black for WWII 20mm troops and vehicles but have switched to burnt umber for these too. In my view black is a bit too cartoonish while burnt umber is more natural looking for shadows. But that's just my preference.

They are beautiful! Another technic for demarcation is I use is painting a line of both adjacent colours in a darker tone. E. g. dark olive and beige/light brown on Weiss' machine.

Thanks, Florian. Yes, that technique works too. There are a couple of thin coats of white (for Weiss) or yellow (for LvR) over the burnt umber which more or less comes to the similar versions shades.

Thanks, Dave. I got one (LvR) of the 2 Fokker Dr.1s I mentioned to you earlier (LvR and Steinhauser). Mixing up the cabane and undercarriage struts made me put those off and go with Raben and Jacobs (the valom kit has decals for those). Hadn’t anticipated liking those two as much as I do. This time I put off steinhauser as I will do decals for it, so I will do steinhauser and klimke with my last valom dr.1 kit.
