"Well sir, there we were behind the lines when we spotted a pair of Fokker's trailing their coat tails along the front just behind their lines so we thought we'd drop in on them and have a look." Said Flight Sergeant Robert Pynne - Bobby to his friends - an American volunteer fighting for the old country.
"Too late we realised there was another pair heading towards us but then the Lieutenant & mister Jarris came up on our right so we carried on."
    "I see." said Uncle.

(somehow I moved a kill token from Gaither to Pynne, both belong to the former)

    Victory Points

3 points for each enemy aircraft shot down.
1 point for each enemy aircraft forced to retire

    10pts to the Eagles
    6pts to the Bulldogs

    Eagle Victory

Well that could've gone better ! Who wrote those D8 charts..?!
Great dust up even if it didn't go my way - Guess I need to find a new pilot now.

Oy! That could have gone better indeed. A fast, furious and deadly scenario.

Oops that was nasty and painful Dave.

Well that went pretty much how I envisioned it from your hint last week
Sorry to see Leftenant Jarris take his final tumble - at least my rookie has only been sidelined.

The Adler lost one as well, so this was definitely a bloodbath.
I enjoyed your telling of the takedown, especially the ‘Murricanism slips.
REP inbound to soothe your sorrows.

Mine was played Friday/Saturday. Pictures downloaded.
Hope to find time to write up and post over the next few days if I can distract SWMBO

... and apparently I have not spread enough rep around lately to give you some.

    Thumbs up

Ye Gods Dave! That one went to hell in a basket. Talk about a bloodbath.
Rotten Luck for your pilot Mr Jarris. R.I.P.

I will have to be real careful in my game which probably wont be until the weekend after this.

Rep inbound to sooth the loss.

Oh dear - two down on either side and one pilot a piece killed - that's a heavy toll Mister Dave. Nasty collisions too! Well, it was one hell of a scrap and hard fought into the bargain. Pity the result didn't go our way but what the hell huh!

Nice AAR Dave. Thanks for sharing. I broke my usual rule of not reading other AARs before posting my own, but I have played the mission to a conclusion - just need to write it up after the weekend. I'll maybe tell you all about it on Saturday. For a change, things did go our way, big time All over in four turns!!!

    CU

Oops, three down for the Entente not two

Excellent story Dave, had to read it in a bit of a rush I'm afraid. I don't think I've seen as many machines firing at each other as in the 4th photo.
Sorry to see Jarris bought a ticket, it looks like Daves D8 beats Dave, that's got to hurt.

    Sorry Rep gun jammed.

What an exciting time you chaps are having in my absence.
My new games room should be up and running by the end of June so will try and make up for lost time then. I still have April to write up in the meantime.
    Great little skirmish Dave!

Good to hear WinCo - I've been wondering about the progress made on your HQ - should be ready just about the time your T&T pack arrives

Not seen any smoke on the surface of Mars yet though.

An excellent effort put up by the Bulldogs but somehow those damned Eagles held the cards. Unfortunately those great furballs can go any which way. Two more young pilots will fly no more.
