[AAR #1] A dogfight with Baltic Bob flying an Albatros C.III from Lithuania and Craig had an Macchi M.5 with nary a bullet hole in it (he just got the plane). Bob flew a British Sopwith Camel, Todd flew a SPAD S.VII and I flew a Belgian HD.1. [We sometimes like oddball dogfights.] For some reason Baltic Bob decided to fly away from his wingman in the far upper left corner.



When BalticBob did join the action, his rear gunner was quite deadly. My Hanriot caught fire and the first A damage card I drew for the fire was the explosion. What rotten luck.



Todd had also taken a lot of damage and was heading off the board, but he couldn't outrun the final attack from Craig.



Bob was the last of the Allied aircraft to be defeated. He had taken fire damage, but his A damage cards were 0-1-0. After clearing the fire, he took the 4 and 1 which shot him down.



[AAR #2] Bob suggested an unusual scenario. Two-seaters are returning from their mission and they pass each other. We have to fly the length of the mat in eight turns, so there wasn't time for any dilly-dallying. BalticBob had his Albatros C.III, Craig flew an Halberstadt CL.II and I had a Ufag XXx. Todd flew an Airco DH.4 and Bob had a De Havilland DH.4. it's difficult to take action photos of a non-action scenario. I was able to reach the end of the mat in 7 turns. After a little action by BalticBob and Craig, they broke things off and reached the end of the mat by the end of turn eight.

I think we are going to have to rethink how this one works. May one or two more turns so that there can be some engagement with the enemy before breaking for your home base.

Conversation overheard in the hanger indicates the Lithuanian Air wing will be pursuing a massive procurement of additional Albatros c.iiis. They are invincible!
