Thread: Easter Air show in New Zealand!

  1. #1

Exclamation Easter Air show in New Zealand!

Every Easter there is an Air Show in NZ alternating between Hood Aerodrome on the North Island & Omaka on the South Island.
Omaka is near Marlborough so you can sample their superb Savignon Blanc wines after the event.
This year is Omaka's turn & apart from Sir Peter Jackson's wonderful museum which is a must visit here is a sample of some of the Aircraft taking part this year.

We like to think so Dave!

I'm heading down to Masterton, where Hood aerodrome is located, next week - so hopefully I'll get time to pop in for a visit, as
it's come a long way since I lived there as a lad.
For anyone planning a trip at some stage - yes, Omaka, down south, does have lovely wineries close (been there) & yes, Omaka
itself is amazing... But, you'll also find some pretty damned good wineries close enough to Hood. (Well, a bit more of a drive than
the ones close to Omaka, but not so much as to be completely out of your way.)

Come & visit! what's not to love...

Sadly David the show is "over the ditch" as we call the ocean between Australia & NZ & I am unable to fly there to enjoy the activity but at least I can access photos via their Facebook page.
