Default Wings of Prague Raffle #4

The fourth and final raffle for Wings of Prague 2019 is up and running, folks! Four beautiful repaints (two by Teaticket and two by rhodie80) await your viewing and ticket-purchasing pleasure on the Forum's homepage - gorgeous work by two of the community's emminently talented members.

This raffle is another two-weeker, just like the last one. You have until 3 April to support our fundraising efforts to send Mike (OldGuy59) as our North American representive to Prague. I would love to have these beauties sitting in my hangar, ready to scramble, so I am planning on picking up some tickets. I hope you'll do so, too!

    Always the best,
    Matt

You do realise that, if I win now, you'll have shot yourself in the foot, old chap?

Yes, I know, but it is for a good cause. I'd like saving having to paint the two I did again and Jim's are beauties I'd love to have too! All good to whoever wins them.

I'm in. If I win it will save me having to paint another Breadner.

In case you are not familiar with the planes I painted I will share a little background.

The DR.1 was piloted by Leutnant Eberhard Mohnicke of Jasta 11. You can fly this with your WGF104A Fokker DR. I Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen Jasta 11 Luftstreitskräft and WGF104C Fokker DR. I Leutnant Lothar von Richthofen Jasta 11 Luftstreitskräfte Germany and you have a nice three plane element of Jasta 11. By doing minimal repainting you could have Leutnant Hans Weiss's plane. This would give you four planes from this famous Jasta.

The camel is painted as the plane flown by Flight Lieutenant Lloyd Samuel Breadner in No. 3 (RNAS) Squadron. You can fly this with WGF102B Sopwith Camel Flight Sub-Lieutenant Aubrey Beauclerk Ellwood 3 Naval Royal Naval Air Service. This gives you two planes from a great unit.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday, 2 April) is the last full day for this last LL raffle - I will shut the contest down on Wednesday morning Ohio time after I have had my first cup of coffee... So if you've been procrastinating, now's the time to snag a ticket or five before things close. These are certainly four lovely planes to add to your collection, and while I would love to say that Keith will be picking one of my tickets as the winner, the odds of that (given my bleak past history with these raffles) are rather slim...

Best of luck to all who've participated.

    All the best,
    Matt

All in a good cause! So come on chaps get your winning ticket today.

No announcement yet, Peter - I have asked Keith to draw our winner and let me know those who participated so I can award medals, too. I trust he will have time in the near future to do so...

    All the best,
    Matt

Thanks Matt. I wasn't sure if I had missed the announcement as I was away all weekend at Havoc. There is still hope!

This is way late, but can the Peter confirm the following planes, pilots and units:

SPAD XIII, Sous-lieutenant Pierre Marinovitch, Spa 94

Fokker D.VII, Leutnant Eberhard Mohnicke, Jasta 11
    Mike

The Fokker D.VII looks to be that of Obltn Karl Bolle of Jasta Boelke Mike.

Dave got it. Jasta 2, Karl Bolle for the Fokker DVII. SPAD XIII pilot, escadrille, correct.
