Cold Wars 2019 #2 Tigers in China
Tigers In China.
The AVG were on a dreaded ground support mission. The Japanese army was about to cross a lightly defended pass so the AVG were tasked with strafing the Japanese infantry to relieve the pressure on the Chinese defenders.
Pilots flew 2 planes each. AVG pilots of course flew P-40B Flying Tigers while the Japanese started out with Oscars. When shot down P-40Bs returned but Oscars would be replaced with Ki-61 Heins.
Strafing was done normally, infantry would fire at the P-40s only when fired upon. 8 hits are needed to destroy an infantry unit.
The Tigers pass through the first wave of Oscars.
An Oscar damages a P-40 and wounds the pilot while it is on a strafing run.
A damaged Oscar tries his best to drive off the AVG even though he is damaged.
2 Tigers are simultaneously downed.
A 3rd is downed moments later effectively halving the attacking Tigers.
The AVG finally punishes the infantry below.

A P-40B escapes a Japanese trap.
A kill on an Oscar is finally scored!
Japanese Infantry getting hammered by the relentless tigers.
Oscars desperately trying to fend off the AVG.
A Ki-61 Hein joins the fray.
Another Oscar meets it’s end.
And another.
The fight above the pass gets intense. Damaged planes vie for position while desperately trying to fulfill their mission. An enemy and it’s foe fall from the fight together.
The AVG destroyed all of the advancing Infantry but paid a heavy price, losing 5 of their thinning ranks.
