I think it's a "firing" symbol - a target?
Without arrows, it's forward only (Spitfire).
With arrows, its forward / rear (Stuka).

Could be, but why do the bombers do not have these arrows then?

Probably as they have guns that may face in any and all directions and have multiple arcs Henning...
The old WoW cards have something reminiscent of a gun-sight reticule rather than a target. Other than the arrows showing they can fire in two directions it they only show where to find gun info on the card.
